A Change in Direction
My book - to be or not to be?
Because of the stop-start nature of my book writing over the past two years, I have decided it’s time for a change in direction. I want to get my thinking out there, rather that keep it closeted in a book which is now highly unlikely to come to fruition in that form.
I have decided to post what is finished from my book as a series of extracts covering the first two parts of the draft. The third part is ensuring the framework I have developed practical and able to be implemented in those many contexts I wrote about in my last post. This split will make this task more doable for my brain, and let you have the detail about the Assumptions Mapping Framework out there instead of being trapped in two finished parts of my draft. And I can update it if new information emerges over time
I will post some extracts from Chapter 1 The Introduction during what remains of November (assuming all going well with my final medical tests and procedure this month) but December will be taken up with moving to our new and final home. And the first half of January is booked for a cruise to Antarctica (retirement is a wonderful thing) so next posts will be in the second half of January.
I will do a post with an annotated table of contents first so you know what’s coming, and then start with the extracts.
Finally, these extracts will be posted in my Imagining our Futures sections on the Foresight in the Present site which I will continue to use for general posts about futures and foresight.
This change in direction reduces my stress to get a book finished which given that I live with anxiety is a very good thing and give me time for more of this:
Thanks for staying with me and look out for the first extract soon.

With you and following as you prompt thinking
